Umbrella Policies
The U.S. legal system ensures that anyone who feels they have been injured or victimized is able to seek justice through the court system – obviously, a very valued part of our government. Combine that right with more lawyers per capita than any other country, and we’ve got ourselves a lot of law suits. In fact, Americans spend more on civil litigation than any other country – we actually spend twice as much on litigation as we do on new automobiles!
How does this relate to insurance? Some law suits are so huge, that they exceed basic liability coverage provided by your auto and home policy. An Umbrella Policy will take effect when your primary coverage has been exhausted. It significantly increases your overall liability from an additional $1 million coverage (Up to $5,000,000 available) for you and your eligible family members.
